Chen Gang

Chen Gang, Han nationality, male, was born in March, 1966 in Santai, Sichuan province. He is Communist Party member, doctor, professor, and doctoral tutor.

Chen Gang entered in the department of Mechanical Engineering of Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 1982, and received a doctorate of engineering in 1991. He started working in Xi'an University of Technology in July, 1991. From 1995 to 2000, he studied at Fukui University in Japan. He used to be professor and doctoral tutor in Xi'an University of Technology, vice dean of Water Resources and Hydropower in Xi'an Polytechnic University, and Party Committee member and dean of Academic Affairs of Xi'an University of Technology. Chen Gang was Party Committee member and vice president of Ankang University since September 2008. Chen Gang has been the president and deputy party secretary of Ankang University since January, 2015. Chen Gang was appointed as the president of Xi'an University in December, 2017.

Over years, Chen Gang is committed to the fields of the hydraulics, fluid mechanics, and multi-phase fluid dynamics research. He is committed to two programs of the National Natural Science Fund, and more than 20 vertical and horizontal research projects. Chen Gang has published more than 70 research papers, and won two items of the first prize of Shaanxi Province teaching achievement. He is main member of the national excellent course “Hydraulics” and the member of Teaching Guidance Sub-Committee of the Coastal Shipping and Coastal Engineering of the Ministry of Education.
